Not only in the aging Europe and Japanese culture, the world is getting older. The big picture is not different for Turkey.
According to the figures, the 60+ years old population is %6 of the total population in Turkey in 2010. However this figure will rise to %18,4 in 2050.
With a simple math, it can be seen that the 65+ y.o. population is around 5.5 million. The number of seniors who need care is around %10. Unfortunately, the total available places could serve only 25K. In other words, 500K more bed needed to serve the care of the seniors.
Turkey has a key role not only because of its geopolitical position, but also the potential care needs.
